Minolta XG1

Minolta XG1

With all the technological advances of digital cameras I still find it fun to shoot film at times, there is just something unique about it. Lately I've been shooting with black and white film which requires the traditional processing method but, gaining access to a dark room as well as materials doesn't come cheap. Not to long ago I inherited some dark room equipment but, I'm still missing some key pieces so all of these recent shots will just have to wait. I looked around for another option and came across some Kodak BW400CN film which CAN be brought to a local 1 hour photo and be processed with the regular color method. I'll get back to all of you after I get some time to experiment with this film. Have a great weekend everyone!

EXIF

Focal Length: 88 mm
Exposure: 1/30 sec

  • My late brother did all film processing, Brian, and had his own dark room. I often wonder what he would think of our digital world these days?

  • That's a nice camera. I bought the exact (defective metering) camera for my wife or girlfriend at the time. She took it to class and everything came out funky as hell, but the professor loved it because it was creative. I am a Nikon SLR man myself, but, Minolta & Yashica all the way for rangefinder cameras.
