Hike #5 Blanca Lake

Blanca lake is one of Washington's best hidden gems. If you can muscle up the strength to take on this brutal hike, you'll be rewarded with a breath taking view of the robin egg colored waters of that lake. I am so glad I got to finally check this hike of my list!

8 Day Romp in NYC

This was an amazing trip to one of the fastest moving cities in the U.S.  It was also my first time in NYC, and it sure was everything I expected.  I don't believe I ever been on a vacation where I did more urban walking then nature trail hikes.  Even with 8 days, it was still far too short to see everything.  Here are a few photos from my Galaxy S3.  Walk fast and don't forget to grab a slice of pizza.

Gotta start it off right with a taxi ride.

Hike #3 2015 - Big Four Ice Caves

The ice caves are one of the popular destinations in the Pacific North West.   Year after year people come to see the snow melt formed caves but, unfortunately with all the climate change; there just wasn't much to see.  If it was your first time seeing the caves you will still gawk at how amazing it is up close.

Hike #2 2015 - Goat Lake

Rain or shine the show must go on. Broke one of my rules today and didn't take my camera.  Tsk...tsk! I blamed the weather forecast for rain. On the bright side I took aadvantage of my cellphone camera, it might not have nearly come close to my Fuji but it sure did capture the hike well.

First Hike of the Year

When living in the PNW you don't have to travel too far to get away.  You can head in almost direction and find a hike that suits your comfort level.  The first hike to kick the year off for me was Denny Creek, just under an hour east on I-90 from Seattle.  This was one of those exits along I-90 that I've driven past so many times in my life and never bothered to stop, I sure was glad I did this day.

Year of the Sheep

Wishing a happy Lunar New Years to everyone!  To delicious food, great company and many more wonderful memories to come.

New Decisions

I've decided a bit late this year to start a new photoblog, but for most things it's never too late.  The old photos will still be available for viewing and will be be archived here.  I am excited for the new year and I hope you will all join me.  Thank you all that have followed me.

Tea clears the mental palette and brings out my creativity. Cheers!

Another test!

A nice stroll downtown.

I am certainly behind the times. Here finally testing out the email to post feature. I must say this will be very useful when I'm out and about.

Never forget that there's something new to learn everyday.
