Upward Expansion

This is a photo I took the same day (another cliché shot) as the photo titled "Believer or Non-Believer?" I haven't spent much time in Seattle in the last 5 years because of school in another city, so lately i've been trying to spend some more time in downtown Seattle. Once in a while I come to a stop at a cross walk and I find my self looking up at the tall buildings and among those buildings I see congregation of tall yellow canes. I find myself thinking "If its not expanding out, then up we go"

  • Nice shot looking straight up this building. I like how you can see the reflections of another building on the shiny surface.

  • Love your perspective. THe bulding goes on and on forever...reaching straight up for the sky.
    Marcie @ 2008-07-11 04:52:25
  • The lines are really strong and fast and first take my eye on a ride right out of the image. Then the reflection and patterns invite it to come back and roam around the rest of the image. Lots of fun and great composition.

  • Persepctive is everything. This one really gives you the "view". Nicely done.
    Alexandra @ 2008-07-11 07:15:25
  • Love the angle on this one; it really captures the height of the building. The colors are very pleasing as well, and the reflection from the building across the way is a fun addition.

  • Brian I see what everybody's saying, but I come at it from a different angle.
I just hang onto my computer chair and await the roar of the rocket sending me off into the sky. I know that's weird, but the moment I stumbled into the photo that was my immediate reaction.

  • This is good. Vibrant colors and your eye really travels up the building. I'd not want to be on or under that crane.
